Kobe Says He's 'Pissed' He Didn't Win 6 Rings To Catch Michael Jordan ... Uhhh, Ya Think?

That's the entire podcast of All The Smoke, which I highly recommend. Stephen Jackson and Matt Barnes chopping it up with Kobe and the Jordan debate comes up. The conversation starts around the 28:00 mark and his comments about being pissed is a minute later. 

So here's the thing. OF COURSE Kobe is pissed he didn't catch MJ. This dude centered his entire life around being Jordan version 2. He mimicked everything Jordan did, including playing for Phil Jackson. More importantly, of course this crazy person had a goal of winning 8 titles. This is the most Kobe shit ever. I never liked him, never. But the one thing I always respected about Kobe is that he's a lunatic when it comes to competitiveness. 

The one thing Kobe did that Jordan never could? Eat punches from Chris Childs 

This is the one thing that Kobe for sure did better than Jordan. Jordan didn't eat punches from Chris Childs - though as a Knicks fan that had my childhood ruined by MJ I wish he did. I'll say this too. There was nothing like watching basketball back like this. It was just fun. You had crazy people on the court. You had stars. You had the Lakers, the Spurs, the Suns and go back into the 90s with the Knicks, Bulls, Heat and Rockets. It was must-watch TV, even more than NFL Sunday's for me. It was all about catching NBA on NBC to see a game. 

But, yeah, I wouldn't expect any other response here by Kobe. The dude was dying to be the new Jordan and of course he's pissed that he didn't get to 6. Thank you, Pistons for that.
